Aitkin County Managed Campgrounds
The Aitkin County Land Department manages more than 220,000 acres of public land, including four campgrounds along the Mississippi and Snake Rivers.
Reservations are made online and must be made no later than 7 days in advance of your stay. After that, it is first-come, first-served camping.
Water at Aitkin and Berglund Parks is turned on in the first week of May and turned off the last week of October (weather/temperature dependent). Snow is not plowed at any campgrounds.
Please use firewood that is certified by the Dept. of Ag. or that is local to Aitkin County.
