Recycling Opportunities
Aitkin County is committed to providing free-to-use recycling and composting opportunities for the residents of Aitkin County. Aitkin County operates two recycling facilities in Aitkin and McGregor, and several rural drop-off collection locations for convenient recycling in Palisade, McGrath, and Malmo.

- Only leaves, grass clippings, and brush less than four inches in diameter are accepted at this site. NO TREE STUMPS, NO PLASTIC BAGS. Site will be monitored and citizens are strongly encouraged not to bring prohibited materials. Prohibited materials could result in closing of the facility.
