Immunizations and Infectious Diseases

Aitkin County Public Health offers a variety of vaccinations including: recommended childhood, recommended adult, Flu and COVID-19 vaccines.

To schedule a routine childhood or adult vaccination, call Brea Hamdorf at 218-927-7256

Insurance will be billed for the cost of the vaccines as well as an administration cost.

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • Ucare
  • Health Partners
*accepted insurance does not guarantee payment. There is a possibility that you will be responsible for the cost of the vaccine provided by Aitkin County Public Health.

Free or reduced vaccines:

MnVFC – Minnesota Vaccines for Children Program. Children 18 years and younger may be eligible for free or reduced vaccines if they are: uninsured, has insurance that does not cover vaccines, has insurance that covers only selected vaccines, has any MN HealthCare Program, is an American Indian or Alaskan Native or has insurance that caps prevention services at a certain amount and that amount has been reached.

UUAV – Uninsured and underinsured adult vaccination. Adults 19 years and older may be eligible for free or reduced vaccines if they: are uninsured, have insurance that does not cover vaccines or caps preventative services.
