Voter Registration

Complete Voter Registration if:

  • You are a new voter
  • Changed your name
  • Changed your address

You can register:

  1. Online here, or
  2. At the Aitkin County Auditor’s Office, 307 2nd Street NW, Aitkin MN 56431

Please note that registration closes 20 days before Election Day, but you can still register on Election Day with proof of current residency.

Mail Voting

32 of Aitkin County’s 51 Precincts are Mail Ballot Precincts. The designation is determined by each individual municipality.

Ballots are automatically mailed to ALL REGISTERED VOTERS in a Mail Ballot Precinct 3-4 weeks before the election.

Voted ballots can be returned on or before Election Day:

  1. In the postage prepaid envelope provided
  2. Drop off at the Aitkin County Auditor’s Office

Absentee Voting

Request an absentee ballot ONLINE or HERE. Applications cannot be accepted on Election Day.

Voted ballots can be returned on or before Election Day:
