The Human Resources Department is responsible for coordinating and processing all personnel transactions within the county.

To apply for a posted position with Aitkin County, you must fill out an application; resumes will not be accepted in lieu of an application. Completed applications must be received by the Aitkin County Human Resources Department by 4:30 p.m. on the closing date.  No late applications will be considered.

Additionally, applications are only accepted for open jobs. When there are no positions open, Aitkin County will not accept and hold applications on file for future positions.

Public Health Nurse - Full-Time

Aitkin County is accepting applications for a full-time Public Health Nurse. Requires Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of Nursing, Registered Nurse License and Public Health Nurse Certificate, both issued by the Minnesota Board of Nursing, CPR Certification, and a valid driver’s license. Must be eligible for appointment by the MN Merit System. Starting salary up to $62k + benefits DOQ. All questions welcome 218-927-7306. EOE.

Public Health Nurse Job Description

Substitute Jail Cook

Aitkin County is accepting applications for a Substitute Jail Cook. Requires HS diploma or GED, plus 2 years experience working in a commercial food service operation or completed coursework. $11.30/hr. School Year Cook-Housekeeper at Long Lake Conservation Center

School Year Position at Long Lake Conservation Center (www.llcc.org), Palisade, MN. Aitkin County is creating an eligibility list for a part-time Cook/Housekeeper position. $13/hour starting. High school diploma or GED required, plus two or more years experience working in a commercial food service operation. Must be willing to work flexible hours as assigned, approximately 20 hours per week +/- based on employer needs. All questions are welcome 218-927-7306.
