The Human Resources Department is responsible for coordinating and processing all personnel transactions within the county. Applications and job descriptions are available by calling the Job Hotline at 218-927-7393.

To apply for a posted position with Aitkin County, you must fill out an application; resumes will not be accepted in lieu of an application. Completed applications must be received by the Aitkin County Human Resources Department by 4:30 p.m. on the closing date.  No late applications will be considered.

Additionally, applications are only accepted for open jobs. When there are no positions open, Aitkin County will not accept and hold applications on file for future positions.

For positions in the Health and Humans Services Department, please visit the Minnesota Merit System site for job descriptions with application and testing process information.

You may fax the application back to Human Resources at 1-218-927-7374, or mail it, or drop it off in person to the Human Resources Dept. at the Courthouse West Annex. It must be received by Human Resources by the date and time indicated as the deadline to apply.
