Family Planning
Family Planning provides counseling on a one-to-one basis or in a group setting to inform the residents of Aitkin County about methods of contraception, so that they may chose the method that is right for them and their lifestyles. Family Planning nurses and educators also teach residents about common sexually transmitted infections (STIS) and how to prevent or decrease the risk of getting an STI. Family Planning subsidizes the cost of clinic visits and the cost of a contraceptive method to low income and/or high risk persons based on a sliding fee scale.
