ATV riding in Aitkin County - Northwoods Regional ATV Trail

     Aitkin County maintains over 100 miles of designated ATV trails for the summer voyagers, including the Soo Line trails, Rabey Line trail, the Blind Lake ATV trail,  Redtop Loop trail near McGrath, and the new Lawler Loop.
     Trails may be closed at any time during the year without notice if the trail conditions dictate such. The notice will be put onto our web page as soon as possible.
   
    Aitkin County has established a 70 mile ATV trail  known as the Northwoods ATV trail. This trail incorporates both the North and South Soo Line trails along with loops off of both. You can go from the North Soo Line south all the way to Blind Lake and north to Jacobson. These two new connector trails are just opening this spring.     The Aitkin County Board of Commissioners has passed a resolution designating Aitkin County Lands as a limited use for ATV's. That means that unless it is posted as open for ATVing, it is closed. Look for the open signs on our forest roads to see what is open and available to ride on.
