Aitkin County has established a 70 mile ATV trail  known as the Northwoods ATV trail. This trail incorporates both the North and South Soo Line trails along with loops off of both. You can go from the North Soo Line south all the way to Blind Lake and north to Jacobson. These two new connector trails are just opening this spring. Plans are for the Solana trail to open this spring also. For further information please go to this site: http://www.70 mile trail.net

The Aitkin County Board of Commissioners has passed a resolution designating Aitkin County Lands as a limited use for ATV's. That means that unless it is posted as open for ATVing, it is closed. Look for the open signs on our forest roads to see what is open and available to ride on. A map of these areas will be available in the future, once all the signs are up. for more information on ATVing on Aitkin County tax forfeited lands, please click here and print out our information poster on it.
