Effective July 1, 2011
The Aitkin County Recorder will no longer be a Satellite Office to file UCC's.

The Recorder's Office handles all of the documents that pertain to land in Aitkin County as it is sold, mortgaged, leased, or anything else that people want to do with their property. This office receives, records and secures documents and answers many questions relating to Real Estate Transactions (both Abstract and Torrens), Personal Property Financing Statements, State and Federal Tax Liens, Hospital Liens, Vital Statistics (Birth and Death Records for Aitkin County), Military Discharges, and Notary Public Licensing. The Aitkin County Recorder's Office is located on the main floor of the Courthouse between the Treasurer's Office and the Land Department.

Plat Books
Plat Books are available for $30 picked up at the Recorder's Office.
