We look forward to seeing you on our trails again next year.

ATV trails - Aitkin County is working with MN DNR to expand designated ATV trails in our area. Next year - May 15th should see at least two new trails opening in the Northwoods Regional ATV trail system. Follow this site for the dates of openings for the new trails.

Look for this sign. You may ATV where this is. Forest roads - Forest roads are not ATV trails but are open to ATV use as a means of accessing public land. Trail riding is better suited for designated ATV trails. Aitkin County lands are classified as limited relative to ATV use. This means that unless an area is posted open for ATV's, it is closed. We have many forest roads that are open to ATV use - look for the green sign that indicates the road is open to ATV use.
