Summer trail conditions.
Willow River Bridge

The North Soo Line is now open again - the new bridge is in. Enjoy the scenery from this new bridge on the Willow River. The river view is fantastic from this bridge.

ATV trails - Aitkin County is working with MN DNR to expand designated ATV trails in our area. Plans are to open some of the new trails this summer that are a part of the Northwoods Regional ATV trail system. Follow this site for the dates of openings for the new trails.

Stay on the trail – off trail travel is not allowed!

Look for this sign. You may ATV where this is. Forest roads - Forest roads are not ATV trails but are open to ATV use as a means of accessing public land. Trail riding is better suited for designated ATV trails. Aitkin County lands are classified as limited relative to ATV use. This means that unless an area is posted open for ATV's, it is closed. We have many forest roads that are open to ATV use - look for the green sign that indicates the road is open to ATV use.
