Water Testing Services Aitkin County Environmental Services does water testing for residents to screen for bacteria and nitrates. The following fees apply: Bacteria Water Analysis:
$30 To have a sample tested, stop by the Environmental Services Department at the County Offices to pick up a sample gathering kit. Click here to request a sampling kit be mailed to you. Include your full mailing address and phone number. Once you have the kit, follow the collection instructions carefully. Click here for "Instructions for Collecting a Water Sample". Fill out the Request form to have your sample tested. Click here for "Water Testing Request Form" Samples are only accepted on Mondays and Tuesdays (Except for Holidays) by 3:00 pm. Samples must be collected the same day they are brought in.
