Wine License Application/Renewal Process
IIf you currently hold a license for your establishment, you will be mailed a renewal application. If you do not receive a renewal application by November 1st, contact the Aitkin County Auditor’s Office at 218-927-7354. Your current license expires December 31st at midnight.
If you are applying for a new Liquor License for your establishment, contact the Auditor’s office for an application packet.
• PLEASE READ THE APPLICATION THOROUGHLY
• Signature of Applicant, this should be the owner’s name or president’s
name if a partnership or corporation.
• If you need assistance with the County Sheriff’s signature and County
Attorney’s signature, we will help you.
• The fee amount for a Wine License can be obtained at the County Auditor's
office, payment must accompany the application.
Consent of Town Board
• Town Board approval; contact Town Clerk immediately to be placed on their
agenda; Town Board approval required prior to returning to us.
Workers’ Compensation
• Complete all lines required.
• List Applicant’s Name and Business Name as on Application. If you have
coverage, complete all information that is requested.
• Signature and date.
STATE OF MINNESOTA LICENSE APPLICANT INFORMATION
• Complete all information, personal information if sole ownership; or contact
person information if partnership or corporation is license holder. Must
have applicant/president’s date of birth.
• Business Information premise information for establishment to be licensed.
APPLICATION FOR RETAILER’S (BUYER) CARD FOR LIQUOR OR WINE
• Complete and send along with $20 fee to the address on the top of the
form.
CERTIFICATE OF LIQUOR LIABILITY INSURANCE
• REQUIRED!
• The name on the insurance certificate must match exactly with the Applicant
Name on the application. Coverage term of current date to December 31st
to coincide with the license period. Certificate to be in favor of Aitkin
County, not Liquor Control.
AFFIDAVIT AS TO SALES
• Complete if sales are less than $25,000.
• Notarized??
REQUEST TO SELL INTOXICATING MALT LIQUOR
IN CONJUNCTION WITH ON-SALE 3.2 BEER AND ON-SALE WINE LICENSE
• Complete if requesting to sell Intoxicating Malt Liquor (Strong Beer)
in conjunction with Wine License.
• Must have Liquor Liability Insurance.
Upon receipt of all completed documents, the Auditor’s
Office will submit the application to the County Board of Commissioners
for approval and the State Liquor Control Board for approval. Please allow
ample time.
All forms must be processed and a license issued prior to selling wine products.
