The Aitkin County Board of Commissioners met this 25th day of March, 2008 at 11:00am with the following members present: Chairperson J. Motion by Commissioner Bailey, seconded by Commissioner Lueck and carried, all members voting yes to reopen the meeting at 12:00 p.m. Commissioner Wedel informed the public that the County Board would recess until 1:00 for a one-hour lunch break. During the meeting, the Board heard updates on the following committees: i) Central Minnesota Community Corrections; ii) Department Head meeting; iii) DAC; iv)NEMOJET; v) Planning Commission; vi) Lakes and Pines; vii)CHS – Community Service; viii) Arrowhead Counties; ix)Board of Water and Soil Resources; x) Snake River Motion by Commissioner Lueck, seconded by commissioner Bailey and carried, all members voting yes to authorize executing a not to exceed contract in the Amount of $300,000.00 with Positron Public Safety Systems Corporation to replace the current sheriff’s office computer system (software and hardware). Sheriff Turner indicated that he did speak with County Auditor and they determined it would be costs beneficial to pay all four years of the maintenance fee up front.
